To work using your own PC from home in (location). Scan (country) media for relevant political and economic material; translate selected articles into clear idiomatic English. Volume of work will vary, but generally we will expect you to liaise with us every weekday. You are required to have access to a computer and the internet, enabling you to send and receive e-mails.
Ability to select news and information items in Kazakh language and to translate, edit and write copy accurately is required. An in-depth knowledge of the political and economic affairs of (country/region) with an informed interest in international affairs is essential. You will also need to be able to plan and organise your workload in order to meet deadlines. A minimum of two years recent experience of working as a translator/journalist is an advantage
